Alex and Charlie’s Dreamy Scotland Destination Wedding

We are still dreaming over Alex and Charlie’s perfect destination wedding at Gilmerton House in Scotland. Alex and Charlie held their destination wedding with their closest family and friends in October 2022 at the stunning estate that was surrounded by gorgeous wooden terrain perfect for photo ops. They chose to hold an entire wedding weekend and it was just too good not to share!

The couple started their festivities with a stunning rehearsal dinner with catering by the amazing Hickory Food who provided delicious meals for all the wedding festivities. The entire evening was filled with fun and games as the soon to be newlyweds had the best time with their guests prior to the big day.

The preparation for the big day began with the bride and groom getting ready with their respective parties enjoying not only the big day but the amazing views provided by the landscape at Gilmerton House.

Alex looked stunning in her vintage beaded dress which was a perfect compliment alongside her glam. Charlie wore a textured green suit by Friar Tux.

Petal Shoppe did an amazing job with all the florals for the bridal party as well as the ceremony and reception space. The couple wanted to incorporate the beautiful local foliage with pops of purple. They wanted gorgeous florals that would not overwhelm the already stunning room.

Caroline Stewart Artistry delivered when it came to hair and makeup for the bridal party. Alex chose a curled look which accentuated her beautiful color and a stunning makeup look that lasted all day through the hustle and fun.

The ceremony was located in the Grand Room which was beautifully back-lighted from the landscape and floral that accentuated the color of the wood in the beautiful Gilmerton House.
